If you’re living in “the Mitten” or anywhere near, I am sure like me you are craving a little warmth. It is amazing what a little sunlight can do for a person. For the past few days I have been cleaning and reorganizing my computer, it’s a daunting task to say the least. Combing through some of my previous work, I realize a few lovely shoots were left unblogged. Late last summer I was really inspired to do a couple sessions on the beach. I was so lucky to have a couple lovely ladies willing to wake up early in the morning, get their makeup done before dawn and be my muse for the morning.
I am over the moon with this lovely lady!! Becca is a fellow creative soul and maybe one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure to meet. I met Becca through one of my bridal clients who happened to be a good friend of hers. Becca’s first session was a beautiful vintage themed shoot with tea cups, high waisted knickers, lace and lots of soft airy light. The end result was amazing and we were both thrilled when Storyboard Wedding decided to publish it on their blog.
For this photo shoot, I wanted to try something a little earthy and bohemian. Very soft natural makeup (done by yours truly), lace and chiffon lingerie in delicate pinks and nude and mermaid waves.
I loved this outfit on Becca. I pulled together a nude bodysuit and a lightweight drapey sweater. I like how this can be quite modest even though it is boudoir. This cream slip was a find from Urban Outfitters and the flower crown was made by yours truly. Again trying to keep attire modest and simple. For Becca’s make up I used Urban Decay’s original make up Naked palatte (virgin-inner corner, naked-crease/outerV, half baked-center eyelid highlight) for her eyes with a couple faux lash pieces on the outer corners, for her cheeks I used Benefit Coralista blush, her lips a loreal pink lipstick.
This adorable pink chiffon lace bralette panty set was a gem I spotted at Forever 21. It was simply perfect.
As we finished up our photo shoot the sunrise finally began to peek over the big hill. I love hazy light portraits!!
